Community Group Leader or Host
Recruit some friends and start up a group in your home or here at church! If you can recruit about four people, we can help you get some people to join your group. Reception Desk
That’s right. Friendly and welcoming faces and voices are needed to answer the phones. The day is divided in half—8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 12:30-5 p.m. Welcome our guests, answer the phone, help out the staff as they have needs. Training is provided. Kitchen Help
Do you love being in the kitchen and you're innately good at it? Consider being a helper in the kitchen on Wednesday nights, Sunday mornings, at Alpha, or other special events. Let us add you to the team! Contact .
Adult Core Team
Do you love Jesus and love First Lutheran? Do you want to make a difference in the church for adults? Do you have a creative mind and like brainstorming the future?
The Adult Core Team meets once a month on the third Thursday and is open to anyone who fits this criteria. Contact for more information.
Alpha Helpers
Did you love Alpha and you want to return as a helper? Help transform lives by leading a group, helping in the kitchen, praying or helping with worship. Holiday Decorators
Our commons looks so nice when it's decorated for special events and holidays. Do you like to make things festive for these events? Are you a team player and are good at rolling with the punches? Contact .
Special Events / Holidays
We need "all hands on deck" at many services or special events throughout the year. If you are able to help, for example on Christmas Eve or at the Easter Egg hunt, let us know as soon as you possible can! Thank you! Contact .
KItchen Cleaning
Do you love to clean? Our kitchen is a ministry in itself, and we need people to keep it in tip top condition. Most duties include organizing pantries, cleaning the outside of appliances, and washing towels and dish clothes. Contact Shawn at 651-303-8754.
Yard work!
Do you have a love of flowers and gardens? We need people to "adopt" a plot or garden area to make their own. One current garden that is a great example of "love" is the triangle off of the circle drive. For many years, faithful volunteers have tended to that particular area. Thank you! Shoveling
Yes, we live in Minnesota. Do you have a shovel and the love of being generous with your time? Every Sunday we have hundreds of worshipers coming through our doors, but it wouldn't be possible if the facilities weren't plowed out.There is the opportunity for folks to just come help clear the sidewalks! Just show up with a shovel or consider being on the Shovel Out Team. Contact .
Adopt a Bathroom
Think about how many people visit the bathroom on any given day. We want our bathrooms friendly and helpful. Do you have a love of shopping for good deals and like to make things "homey?" We would like someone to adopt each a bathroom and fill up the baskets with "homey" items that people need. Maybe it's a band-aid, hair-spray, or a mint. If you'd like to help, please contact .
